Supporters like you can make generic, specific or custom gifts to the Carson City Library through our Friends of the Carson City Library’s Gifting Book.

What is the Gifting Book exactly?

While we welcome any kind of monetary or otherwise helpful donation, the Friends’ Gifting Book method is a fantastic way to support your local library right here in Carson City, a nationally recognized library with an excellent staff and superior resources.

Our Gifting Book program and proceeds from the Friends’ Browsers Corner Book Store are what make many things at the library possible for our community.

If you would like to donate toward something rather expensive in the Gifting Book, you don’t have to gift the whole amount – you can just give toward its entire cost. When we’ve received enough funding to purchase the item, we’ll notify the library; all those who have gifted toward the item will be recognized as a donor!

We offer three ways to donate: online, by mail or in person.

1) Online – Make a donation easily and quickly by clicking the “DONATE NOW” button located partway down this webpage on our site. Don’t forget to review the ongoing campaigns below the button in case you want to indicate a specific use for your donation.

2) By mail – You can send us a check along with your donation form (click the link to view, download and print the PDF form). Please make your check payable to Friends of the Carson City Library, as well as be sure to indicate your donation specifics and mail to or drop off at:
