International Film Weekend approaching

Note: Due to the current pandemic, the International Film Weekend is suspended until further notice.

Join us for the 2020 Carson City International Film Weekend, sponsored by the Carson City Culture & Tourism Authority, Bob Boldrick Theater and the Friends of the Carson City Library.

The independent film competition winners will be shown as part of the film weekend on Feb. 27, 28 and 29.

This special weekend consists of free afternoon and evening film viewings followed by informal discussion.

Afternoon showings will spotlight the independently made films selected by the International Film Weekend Committee, while evening viewings will consist of award-winning, commercially-produced international films including Babette’s Feast and Mar Adentro (“The Sea Inside”).

The competition-winning films are produced by students or independent filmmakers in the United States or abroad. Selection criteria includes awareness, diversity, understanding and craft.

Email friendsinfo@friendscclibrary.org with any questions, and we look forward to seeing you there! Be part of this unique, artistic experience that celebrates film, creativity and quality.
